Battery manufacturing sits at the center of industrial transformation. Whether for electric mobility or stationary energy storage, the quality and scalability of cell production determine innovative strength and competitiveness. Yet reality often looks different: fragmented data landscapes, missing transparency and time consuming coordination between lab, pilot line and gigafactory.
In our whitepaper “AI-Driven Digital Thread in battery manufacturing” we show how the explore platform with Lora AI addresses these challenges. Standardized interfaces (OPC-UA, REST, MQTT) and a semantic knowledge graph link data from engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance seamlessly. The result is an end-to-end Digital Thread that not only enables data integration but also models processes and documents them automatically.
A central element is full traceability: every process step is documented, material batches and machine parameters can be traced down to the individual cell ID. This gives manufacturers not only the basis for the digital product passport under EU battery regulation, but also valuable insight into their CO₂ footprint.
